global cities – tate modern

some contoured landscapes from the global cities exhibition at the tate modern showing until the 27th of august. the exhibition gives an overview of the changing shapes of 10 world cities. through the use of models, statistical analysis, video and photography each of the cities is compared and contrasted according to speed, size, density, diversity and form. the exhibition uses much of the data gathered from the venice architecture biennale in 2006. nigel coates’ image of an edible london is one to check out. see some more images here

some photos from a recent trip to tromso, at the top of norway right on the arctic circle. Incredible landscape, skiing, architecture (a very calatravaesque looking library..that used to be a cinema) and hospitality. thanks amy and martin for having us. enjoy the pics…. here

Ok.. the time has come around again for the British Council Realise Your Dream Scholarship. Being a past recipient i cant recommend it highly enough.
