Just an update as to why i have been so absent over the past few months…and will continue to be for another few weeks. I have been absorbed by the competition in Norway, we are due to submit in December…. Some longs nights ahead… We have also just won a prize in another competition: The Tabakalera Culture Factory in San Sebastian. See the website. I will show post some images and text once the final winner has been announced. Until then……

I have uploaded some photos from my trip in germany last year. Starting with dusseldorf, koln, heidelberg, stuttgart and munich then moving on to dresden, dessau and berlin.
After an action packed few days in Tokyo i move from Klein Dytham, The beautiful off form concrete Asusa House to Kyoto: Ando’s art garden, the Kyoto Imperial Palace, Kinkaku-Ji, Kiyomezu Deru, Ryoanji (incredible), The Shugakuin Imperial villa…. then back to Yokohama for some FOA….. enjoy
It seems like everyone is jumping onboard the facebook phenomenon. After recieving about 10 invites to join i finally submitted and signed up and to extend the virtual network that is the world wide web i will now load albums onto my facebook site and point to them with links in here. For a start i have loaded up a series of images in japan……. we begin with Ando, then meander our way through Ito, Herzog + De Meuron, Sejima, Renzo, Miyakawa and Corb.

I humbly apologise for my lack of posts of late……..i am nearly ready to unleash a barrage of stories and images! hopefully in a week or two so watch this space 
hola all, well it seems as though my adventures in london have been interrupted by a much welcomed sojourn to barcelona. it is wonderful here, weather, people, city! i am working on a competition for a small young practice called MYAA. the little red dot in the map is where i am living, right on the edge of the raval (the old city) in one of the blocks (called apples) which are part of L’Eixample (la shampla), designed by lldefons Cerdà in 1855 to relieve the overcrowding present in the old city. As you can see for yourself it was an amazing modernist vision that changed the shape of Barcelona. I haven’t had much time to explore the city yet, placa catalunya, la ramblas, the raval and the diagonal in fleeting glimpses, and i saw my first two gaudi buildings! yay!… no sagrada familia yet…..
More of the everyday, a sneaky snap on my way home from work. The London tube is the only privatised major city transport network in the world (thanks Maggie) so it is expensive, and apparently not as reliable as it used to be. Check out the African Meerkats, they bear a stiking resemblance to london underground commuters; with all their little tunnels, popping their heads up all over the place.
